Process

Process for new house construction and large-scale residential renovation work

1

Once we receive drafting and engineering plans from your draftsman or architect we can provide you with an estimate for construction. If that estimate fits within your budget we can then organise a site meeting and provide you with a formal detailed quote.

If you need drafting and engineering plans, we can happily recommend some local draftsman to you. We are also happy to meet with you prior to you getting plans drawn up to discuss your ideas, possibilities and your budget.

2

Once you have received our quote we can organise a face to face meeting to discuss the different aspects of the quote, answer any questions you may have, gain clarification, discuss potential start times, build timelines and make any changes you would like to make.

3

Once you have engaged us as your builder you would sign a HIA fixed price building contract and pay a 10% deposit. This also secures our next available start date.

4

Home Owner Warranty Insurance is then applied for and once issued, is sent to council so that you can obtain your Construction Certificate.

5

We then send you a full list of selections to be made for your project (appliances, tiles, colours, finishes etc) along with suggestions on local businesses where we have accounts and choices can be made at. You can also make selections from suppliers of your choosing.

6

A selections meeting and/or site walk through is scheduled prior to work commencing to confirm your selections, introduce you to the foreman for your project and discuss site logistics. It is again another opportunity for you to ask any questions about the building process, project specifics or make further changes. The build will then commence following this meeting.
