About Us

Joel Jensen Constructions is an award winning builder based in Lismore and servicing the Northern Rivers for all your building needs. We pride ourselves on honesty, quality and reliability. Our professional, polite team of tradesman and helpful office staff work collaboratively to ensure your project runs smoothly and maintains our high standard of work. We supply written, detailed all-inclusive quotes with no hidden extras and we are proud to support the community by using a local specialist team of experienced trades and suppliers.

Meet the team

Joel

Joel established Joel Jensen Constructions in 2014 when he recognised the gap in the local building industry for a Builder that was willing to take on any size project from new decks to small & large house renovations, commercial projects and new house constructions. Due to the quality of work and subsequent reputation the business has successfully grown in the last 8 years from a 4 person team to now with a staff of 18. From day one Joel has always strived to ensure the clients building experience is enjoyable by maintaining open and honest communication as well as offering a flexible and detailed service where his team manages all aspects of the building process to the highest possible standards.

Joel is very community minded and believes in supporting and giving back to the community wherever possible. He has selected a team of only local trades and suppliers that work collaboratively on each project to produce amazing results. He also supports many community organisations and charities such as Relay For Life, Our Kids & Lismore Base Hospital, Marist Brothers Football Club,

On the weekends Joel enjoys spending time with his family. His favourite smoko is a cheese and bacon pie, tommy sauce and a choccy milk.

Brittany

Brittany is the company Co-owner and Accounts Manager. Britt has a degree in Early Education and enjoys spending time with Joel and their 4 children on the weekends.

Joe

Joe is the company Construction Manager & Estimator. Joe has over 20 years experience in the building industry and enjoys the challenging nature of carpentry. Joe enjoys fishing, showing poultry and on the weekends likes to go camping in the bush with his family.

Marcus

Marcus aka Hound is a company carpenter and recently completed his carpentry apprenticeship through Joel Jensen Constructions. Marcus became a carpenter in the hope of one day being able to build his own house. He enjoys surfing and KFC for smokos.

Josh

Josh is a company carpenter and likes that he gets to work outdoors and have a variety of work. He originally decided to become a carpenter as he was interested in working with timber and building & fixing things as a child. On the weekends Josh enjoys spending time doing his hobbies - motorbike riding, fishing and soccer. For smokos he will happily grab a pie and chocolate milk from the closest bakery or cafe to the job site.

Kris

Kris is a mature age company apprentice carpenter and enjoys seeing a beautiful finished product he can be proud of. Kris was previously a Fitter, Turner & Welder for 10 years and decided to expand his skills and join Joel Jensen Constructions. Kris's favorite smoko is a hamburger and chips from Distractions Cafe in East Lismore. On the weekends he enjoys reading, playing xbox, trips to Bunnings and spending time with his wife and two sons.

Josh

Josh aka Baron or Baz is a company foreman and joined the team at Joel Jensen Constructions in the very early stages of the company. He likes the variety of work of carpentry and the different locations he gets to work at. On the weekends he enjoys spending time with his family playing sports and loves a good old Subway for smoko - chicken bacon ranch with the lot except olives!

Jamie

Jamie aka Hutto is a company foreman and joined the team at Joel Jensen Constructions in the very early stages of the company. Jamie started in the industry when he was given the opportunity to start a carpentry apprenticeship after finishing school. He really enjoys doing renovations and being involved in the transformation of the house. His hobbies are surfing and footy. On the weekend he enjoys going camping and hanging out with his family at the beach.

Emma

Emma is the company Administration Assistant and enjoys helping clients through the building process and seeing their dream come to life. On the weekends she enjoys going to the beach or camping with her husband and children.

Dylan

Dylan is a company apprentice carpenter and has had a career change from concreting. His hobbies are footy, golf and fishing and on the weekends he enjoys a few beers and a bet on the horses with his mates.

Brett

Brett aka Watto is a company foreman and has over 15 years in the building industry. He really enjoys the ''turning something old into something new'' aspect of carpentry. Brett enjoys fishing and spending time with his wife and children on the weekends. He doesn't mind a bacon & egg roll from La Baracca cafe for smoko.

Brendan

Brendan is a company Operations Coordinator and he really enjoys the work environment at Joel Jensen Constructions. His favourite smoko is a bacon & egg roll or something from the hot box at Skimmos. His hobbies are sports and on the weekend enjoys spending time with his family.

Brady

Brady is a company apprentice carpenter and he enjoys being a part of such a great team of guys and seeing the finished projects. His hobbies are soccer and cricket and his favourite smoko is a bacon and cheese singer box from KFC. On the weekends he likes to spend time with his mates.

Ashton

Ashton is a company carpenter and believes the best thing about his work is the job satisfaction. He was formerly a cabinet maker and decided to join his brother in his building business and never looked back. Ashton's hobbies are fishing and collecting & restoring axes. His favorite smoko is nachos from Zambreros and on the weekend he enjoys spending time with his family at the beach.
